Abijith handles Cornerstone Law's disputes practice, representing individuals, businesses, and institutions in civil and commercial litigation before the Madras High Court, the City Civil and Commercial Courts, the NCLT, the DRT, and other tribunals.

Biography

Abhijith Christopher graduated from Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad, in 2021. Soon after, he trained in the chambers of then Advocate V. Raghavachari (presently Senior Counsel at the Hon'ble Madras High Court), then Advocate V. Lakshminarayanan (Hon'ble Judge of the Madras High Court), and Advocate V. Srimathi. During this phase, he appeared in a wide spectrum of matters - civil suits, second appeals, writ petitions, and arbitration proceedings - before the High Court of Madras and before arbitral tribunals. This period gave him a solid grounding in procedure and the fundamentals of civil and appellate practice.

He also handles cross-jurisdictional matters before other High Courts and advises clients on intellectual property registration and enforcement, helping them protect and commercialize their innovations and brands. His work is defined by clear pleadings, persuasive submissions, and client-focused solutions. Alongside his practice, Abhijith serves as a visiting faculty member at the Indian Institute of Logistics, where he teaches the Constitution of India and Maritime Laws to BBA and MBA students.

Experience

Prior to joining Cornerstone Law, he was associated with H&B Partners (formerly HSB Partners) as a Litigation Associate, working under Mr. T.K. Bhaskar. Here, he represented clients before forums such as the High Court, NCLT, NCLAT, DRT, DRAT, TNREAT, and TNRERA. His work included drafting pleadings, legal opinions, notices, and agreements under the Companies Act, SEBI regulations, and real estate laws.

After gaining extensive exposure to corporate laws at H&B Partners, Abhijith joined Nathan & Nandhan Associates LLP. His practice widened into customs law, where he represented clients before the High Court, CESTAT, and the DRT. He also prepared notices and replies under the Income Tax Act and Customs Act, further sharpening his statutory and litigation range.
